Website Notes from ORTA
Trustee and District Director Reports
From: Darlene Ruzicka – District III Director
“All presidents were asked to mail a copy of their newsletter to one another, if it is
not available on the website. Only one chapter, Shelby, does not have a website. Many chapters are slowly shifting from mailing
their newsletters to e-mailing their newsletters via their website. E-mail directories are also being created at most of the
chapters. This should help cut postage costs. More Website Workshops are needed and sites need to be updated on a regular
monthly basis.”
From:
Jane Anderson – Stark County Trustee
“The development of our website has helped to disburse information and is expected to be an easier and
far less expensive way to communicate in the future.”
From: Rebecca Ann Zurava, PhD – Summit County Trustee
Í built a website for SCRTA with the help of ORTA Webmaster
Deloris Ullmann. The SCRTA Board approved the position of SCRTA Webmaster as a board position. An excellent webmaster from
within our ranks offered to assume the position. ORTA President Robert Dengler emphasized the importance of the chapter website
to our board and membership. We will be working toward improving our website, including posting our newsletter on the website.”
From: Ruby Hawkins – Trumbull County Trustee
Publicity Chairman, Roz Gadd, attends
many functions to publicize TRTA activities. She gets the word out through internet and local newspapers as well as the ORTA
Quarterly.”
From:
Eileen McNally – Licking County Trustee
“The web page that was started at the end of 2009 has grown and changed. We’ve had over 1000 unique
visitors at this point. When additions are made to the website, an e-mail is sent to those members with Internet access (over
half of our total membership). It continues to change according to the needs of our membership and the new guidelines proposed
by ORTA."
