Adams County Quilt Block Story The Retired Teachers Association of Adams County first met on February 23, 1949. They were active for two years. The group reorganized on November 12, 1956.

Adams County is in southwestern Ohio with one boundary, the Ohio River. This is a rural area with rolling hills. In the 1970's, Amish moved into Adams County in the Wheat Ridge and Cherry Fork areas. Visitors come to the area today to visit the Amish Community.

In 2001, Adams County Retired Teachers purchased a one-room school, the Page School in West Union, and the ladn surrounding that schol. This year all third graders in the county we invited for a one-day session. The Page School is open the last Saturday of the month for visitors. There is a wooded area that will provide a nature trail. All monies come from chapter members.
